The School of Biomechanics, Sports and Remedial Therapies was established in 2000 to address the need for training highly skilled practitioners in the multi-disciplined fields of Lower Limb Biomechanics, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapies and Remedial/Complimentary Therapies. We offer a range of CPD Workshops that are suitable for all abilities and we are keen to establish research groups within these areas.
We have a diverse range of lecturers, who are all experienced multi-skilled practitioners. Our lecturers also specialise and practice in these fields and are keen on promoting clinical excellence.
The School of Biomechanics, Sports and Remedial Therapies aims to be at the pinnacle of lower limb biomechanics, physical therapies, remedial/complimentary and sports therapies by training and educating practitioners in the skills required to provide the highest quality patient care.
Our Mission Statement
We promote advancements in knowledge and practical skills, raising the prestige of lower limb biomechanics, remedial/complimentary and sports therapies, whilst priding ourselves on training our students to become competent practitioners with a well-rounded knowledge and practical experience.
We also encourage research in this field, as we recognise its importance for the development of techniques and clinical skills.
The School of Biomechanics, Sports and Remedial Therapies provide facilities for training and support for qualified practitioners wishing to conduct and publish reasearch.
